FCPX, why do we need a magnetic timeline?
So this whole magnetic timeline in FCPX…why is this good? Shouldn’t an editor want to have the choice on wether or not a clip moves? I can’t imagine cutting a feature on this…talk about frustrating!
Also, something else I noticed after watching other videos on FCPX. This is so very similar to iMovie and all of the iLife programs, I was nearly surprised that I didn’t see the option to record straight from you laptop camera! I did see you can upload straight to social networks though. So when someone finishes a film they can distribute it straight to YouTube! :/ I wonder if the laptop camera option will be in the next update…hopefully along with multicam, EDL export, XML export, and previous version import. Oh and if Apple is super nice I wouldn’t mind GPU rendering and R3D support. Wait, nevermind….Adobe Premiere Pro does that already, it even let’s you export specifically Final Cut Pro XML and use FCP keyboard shortcuts!
So please tell me, why should I use FCPx?
