What if Adobe did the same to Photoshop CS6, that Apple did with Final Cut Pro X…
There are two things that amazed me about the situation with Apple releasing Final Cut Pro X.
1) They gave the professional community an application that is missing many needed tools
2) They’re FAQ explaining the most asked questions and problems didn’t explain anything, except the fact that they do not currently have an actual “PRO APPLICATION” on the market at this time.
I was thinking about what if Adobe did the same with Photoshop. Here is my idea on what Adobe’s FAQ would look like if it were comparable to Apples…

Adobe Photoshop CS6 is a breakthrough in basic photo editing and graphic design. The application has impressed many pro designers, and it has also generated a lot of discussion in the pro designer community. We know people have questions about the new features in Adobe Photoshop CS6 and how it compares with previous versions of Adobe Photoshop. Here are the answers to the most common questions we’ve heard.
Import
1) Can I import PSDs from Adobe Photoshop CS5 and earlier versions into Photoshop CS6?
Photoshop CS6 includes an all-new project architecture structured around one big intelligent group that automatically sets your layer order for you. In addition, Photoshop CS6 features new and redesigned filters. Because of these changes, there is no way to “translate” or bring in old PSDs without changing or losing data.
2) Can I import my photos directly into Photoshop CS6 as I could in Photoshop CS5 and earlier?
Yes. Photoshop CS6 allows you to import photos from a wide range of devices, including many point & shoot and DSLR cameras. The list will grow as we continue to test and qualify new cameras.
3) Can I import RAW files?
No, but you can download a RAW photo exporter from Canon. This will enable you to turn you RAW photos into high quality JPGs and PNGs for editing in Photoshop CS6.
Export
1) Can Photoshop CS6 export TIFFs?
Not yet, but we know how important TIFF export is to our users, and we expect to add this functionality to Photoshop CS6.
2) Does Photoshop CS6 save for web and devices?
Not yet, but we know how important saving for web and devices is to our designers, and we expect to add this functionality to Photoshop CS6.
3) Can I use my project files with other Adobe software for multimedia projects?
Yes, you can use your project files with Adobe Bridge. All other programs that were available in the master collection have been discontinued and are no longer available to buy.
4) Can I customize my export settings?
Yes. For $49.99 you can buy our new exporter. This allows you to create a wide variety of custom export settings that you can use in Photoshop CS6. The most popular export options and formats, including JPG and PNG, are already built into Photoshop CS6.
Editing
1) Does Photoshop CS6 support the text tool?
Not yet, but it will. The text tool is an important and popular feature, and we will provide great text tool support in the next major release. Until then, Photoshop CS6 offers some basic support with the paint bucket.
2) Are keyboard shortcuts in Photoshop CS6 different from those in Photoshop CS5 and earlier?
Some keyboard shortcuts have changed to support new features.
3) Can I use my third-party plug-ins in Photoshop CS6?
You’ll be able to use them as soon as all of the plugin manufacturers update.
